Highlight Words

Highlights can be applied to any Bible Text, and to any other Texts in the Text pane of the Search tabClosed The core tab used to search Bible texts, it consists of a search entry area and a search results area or other tabs. When words are highlighted in an activeClosed The application, window, tab, or other screen element which is currently being used; sometimes called the "front" or "frontmost" screen element pane, any other Texts displaying the same version and verse are also highlighted. Once applied, the highlighting is automatically saved and displayed whenever that version is reopened.

Highlight styles can be overlapped, but if the colors themselves overlap, only one color is visible. You can use offset lines, striped patterns, and hollow shapes to show multiple styles on the same words.

Highlight styles are applied using the Highlight popover, Highlight floating window, a keyboard shortcut, or a shortcut menuClosed Also known as a contextual menu, acessed by right-clicking (or pressing Ctrl+Click, Mac only) over a screen element. You can also remove highlighting. Each of these tasks are detailed below.
