Reopen the Edit Window

User Notes files can only be edited from within an Edit window. When you open a note in an Edit window, the date and time the note was last edited is displayed in the top right of the Edit window, under the toolbar.

If you try to type in the User Notes tab or pane, an Edit window automatically opens, ready for adding a note to current verse. In this case the Edit window opens on top of the tab or pane with the original note, and closes when you click Update, so you can automatically return to the original tab.

You can also reopen the Edit window from any Bible text pane, User Notes tab, or User Notes pane.

  1. Click or select text in a verse that has a one- or two-page icon next to it ( or ; far right border of the pane).
  2. On the Selection menu, choose Edit User Note. The Edit window opens displaying the note for that verse.
  3. The new Edit window opens on top of the tab or pane from which it was opened.
  4. If you have created more than one User Notes file, the last accessed User Notes file opens in the Edit window.
  5. You can now format, edit, or delete the note.
