Import to a User Tool

You can import text from a file created in another software program to a User Tool. The Import feature converts text from another document into a User Tool, making it compatible and interactive with your other Accordance modules Any Bible text, or other single tool that can be read in Accordance, including reference texts and articles; may also be referred to as content or resource.

You can import four types of files: PDF, plain ASCII text, HTML formatted, and Thesaurus Linguae Graecae (TLG Thesaurus Linguae Graecae).

Legal and Copyright Considerations

Warning The ability to import text to a User Tool is intended for personal use. It is NOT intended to bypass copyright and other restrictions that may apply to e-texts to which you have access. You can convert your own work into a User Tool, and you may do whatever you wish with that module Any Bible text, or other single tool that can be read in Accordance, including reference texts and articles; may also be referred to as content or resource. You can also convert e-texts which you own in another format. For example, if you own texts on a CD, and can export to convert a file to another format for use in another application. them as text files, you may convert them to a User Tool for your own use. However, you may not give the module to another person who does not own the CD, nor borrow a CD to extract its text for your permanent use.

 

If you download a text from the Internet which was labeled as free for download, you should still abide by any posted conditions and terms of use. Many public domain works have been converted to e-text and are widely circulated. While the contents may be public domain, the party which did the work of preparing the Text may have rights regarding its distribution and use, whether private or commercial.
