Using Tools

The Tools include any dictionaries, lexicons, commentaries, cross-references or other reference works available to Accordance. Tools are displayed in a Tools tab, similar to a Search tab The core tab used to search Bible texts, it consists of a search entry area and a search results area, but with some slight differences.

You can:

• search the content of each tool.
• directly access and search each tool from a selection in another pane (amplify To select words or a reference and search for the selection in the text or tool of your choice. You can select the resource in the Library or Amplify menus. A triple-click is a shortcut which amplifies to the top tool of the relevant category.).
• hypertext to any internal cross-references such as footnotes, or to any Bible verse.

The Tools, most easily accessed via the Library, are divided into a variety of predefined categories. Initially these are listed alphabetically. You can change the order of appearance and move items to different categories.
