The Instant Details Popover

The Instant Details popover displays more information about the word, link, or place currently under the cursor, if the Instant Details are not open at the bottom of the Workspace, and if the popover was enabled via the Preferences (Instant Details area).

To enable the Instant Details popover:

  1. Open the Preferences dialog box by doing one of the following:
  2. On the Edit menu, choose Preferences.
  3. Press ALT - ,
  4. Click Instant Details on the left side of the Preferences dialog box. The Instant Details area is displayed.
  5. Select Popover on click and hold. The next time you click and hold on a word in a pane, the Instant Details are displayed in a popover.
  6. Click Show Popover on click and hold to open a pop-up menu and select how quickly the Instant Details popover appears when you click and hold on a word. Available items are: Short, Medium, and Long.

To use the Instant Details popover:

  1. If open, close the Instant Details panel displayed at the bottom or side of the Workspace (depending on the orientation selected).
  2. Do one of the following:
  3. Alt+ Click on a word in a Text or Tool moduleClosed Any Bible text, or other single tool that can be read in Accordance, including reference texts and articles; may also be referred to as content or resource.

  4. Click and hold on a word in a Text or Tool module. The Instant Details popover appears with relevant information about the selected word or item.

    Functionality and content is the same as for the Instant Details integrated in the Workspace, except you cannot flip the popover.
