Preferences: User Notes Display

Prerequisites for use: None; this dialog box can be opened at any time.       

Use: User Notes Display preferences is used to set the default display of ALL User Notes in ALL User Notes files.

Open: Click User Notes Display in the list of the Preferences dialog box. The User Notes Display area is displayed (labeled "Default display for ALL User Notes:"

Hint

If you have one User Notes file in which you want a different appearance than the default settings made here, do the following:

  1. Make the desired changes to affect ALL User Notes files here, and save your changes.
  2. Open the desired User Notes file in a separate pane or tab.
  3. Open the Set Notes Display dialog box and make the desired changes for that file.
  4. At the bottom of the Set Notes Display dialog box, click Use as Default. This file now has different defaults from those set here in the Preferences dialog box.

Left Theme Area: Items here relate to the selected Theme and how it is displayed for all User Notes files.

Hypertext Area: Changes here affect how links are displayed and handled in the User Notes.

Text Display Area: Items in this section are available only if Standardize text display is selected and relate to the format of the tool content. These items affect all notes in all User Notes files on your computer. 

Search highlighting area: Options in this area are used to choose how "hit" words are displayed in the User Tool.

Background area: Options in this area set parameters for display of the entire tool content.
