Set Concordance Display Dialog Box

Prerequisites for use: A Concordance tab is the active The application, window, tab, or other screen element which is currently being used; sometimes called the "front" or "frontmost" screen element tab.

Use: The Set Concordance Display dialog box is used to define display of the concordance in the Active tab.

Description: This dialog box is dynamic; available options depend on whether the Text is an original language or not. Changes affect only the active Concordance tab. If you want your changes applied to all future Concordance tabs for that specific Text, click Use as Default.

Options in the Set Concordance Display Dialog Box

Range area: Choose to display verses from the entire text or only from within the current search range.
Entire text: If selected for a search within a limited range, the Concordance shows all verses in the entire text that have the hit words The verses, words, text, or other information found as the result of a search. In this case, no counts of the hits are shown.
Search range only: Includes only excerpts that occur within the search range as set in the pop-up menu.
Appearance area: These items relate to the appearance of the Concordance.
Font size: Choose from seven different font sizes ranging from Very Small to Very Large.
Font: Choose the Font name (all fonts available on your system) and how it should be displayed (Regular, Bold, Italic, or Bold Italic).
Excerpt length: This item affects the length of the excerpt displayed before and after the hit word. Choose from Very Long, Long, Medium, Short and Very Short.

Note

Each punctuation is also counted as a word.

Display thresholds area: These items set the limits for display of excerpts and references.
Text excerpts: Enter the number of verses above which only references are displayed, without the text excerpt.
References only: Enter the number of verses above which no references are displayed.
Filters area: These items act as a filter to include or remove certain content from the Concordance.
Ignore words in brackets: Removes from the concordance any words in brackets, which are often editorial alternatives in certain texts. In this case, no counts of the hits are shown.
Combine all forms: When selected, does the following:
For English: Combines forms with different capitalization.
For Hebrew: Combines different lemmas, which have same unpointed lemma The canonical (dictionary) form of a word.
Show individual forms: When selected, lists the different forms above the citations where they are combined. This item is available only if Combine all forms is selected.
Display Options area: Items here relate to specific tagged, Key Numbered, or original language Texts.
Highlight hit word: When selected, hit words are marked in color or bold. If not selected, no distinguishing color or bolding is applied to the hits.
Show only first letter of hit word: When selected, displays only the first letter of the hit word. For example, if you are searching for "birds," only "b" is displayed.
Show key numbers (Key Numbered Texts only): When selected, the Key number is added after each citation
When working with Enhanced Text modules Any Bible text, or other single tool that can be read in Accordance, including reference texts and articles; may also be referred to as content or resource (NIV11-GKE, MOUNCE-NT, LEO-NT-GKE), if there is no key number, then either AIT (Aid in Translation) or NDT (Not Directly Translated) is displayed.
Show part of speech (grammatically tagged text only): Adds the part of speech for each lemma.
Show lemma on right side (Hebrew and Syriac texts only): Displays the lemma or word to the right of any other text on that line.
Limit context size with "." or "-" (Qumran only): Ends the excerpt if a period or hyphen occurs within the specified number of words.
