Additional Documentation
Many Macintosh users don't look at their documentation until they run into a problem. Accordance follows standard Macintosh guidelines as far as possible, so if you are somewhat familiar with the Mac you should be able to explore many features of Accordance easily and quickly on your own.
However, Accordance is powerful software that enables you to do more than you ever dreamed with the Bible texts and tools. There are hundreds of features and dozens of tips and shortcuts which you may never discover without a little help. It may be quicker to "read all about it" than to stumble upon them by accident.
Therefore, in addition to this Help, we provide the following instruction and documentation:
- Interactive Training for New Users: If you are brand new to Accordance Bible Software, this is the place to start.
- Video Demos: Accessed on the front page of our website, these offer an introduction to the Accordance features.
Other videos available for download include weekly Podcasts, training videos, recorded webcasts, and YouTube videos. - Tutorials: Accessed through the Accordance 13 Help menu, tutorials guide you through various tasks. Tutorials are organized by difficulty and topic.
- Accordance Training Seminars are offered from time to time in various locations. These 4 to 8 hour sessions are usually free. Most people who take the time to come are extremely grateful to learn all the things that they never knew they were missing. To be sure of receiving the announcements, sign up for the newsletter or watch the Shows page.
- The Accordance Forums and Blog are frequently updated with new articles, questions and answers from our users and our associates.
- Several PDF files may be found in the Manuals & Documents folder in the Accordance folder, or on the CDs. The latest versions can be downloaded from our View available PDFs to learn more about Accordance Bible Software:
- The Grammatical, Atlas, and Timeline Supplements are covered in this Help and available as separate PDF files. These cover specific features of the grammatically tagged texts and the Map and Timeline tabs. Please note that the PDFs have not been updated to reflect changes in version 10.
- Other documentation on the disk includes the Accordance Fonts PDF, installation instructions for each CD, and other special files for different CDs.
Note Now that the V11 Help has been released, we are currently working on integrating all relevant information from the above PDFs into this Help. Thank you for your patience. |
- We strongly recommend that new users get an overview of the software by starting with the movies on the website, working through Accordance Tutorials, and exploring this Help.
- The Demo files folder on most CDs includes demonstration texts so you can try out the different features for yourself. These files are also available for download from the website.
