Greek and Hebrew Searches
Original language Bible Text modules Any Bible text, or other single tool that can be read in Accordance, including reference texts and articles; may also be referred to as content or resource may be "untagged" (plain), or "tagged" texts. Most Greek, Hebrew, or Aramaic Accordance texts are tagged. If the syntactical databases are installed, you can also search for syntactical terms.
A grammatically tagged text includes a database of grammatical information about each word.
- The information can be also searched and viewed in many ways.
- Demonstration tagged texts are available on the Accordance Bible Software website, and can be used to try out these features.
The untagged Greek and Hebrew texts do not include grammatical and lexical information.
- Searching the untagged texts is the same as searching English Bibles (except for the use of a particular font), and the Simple Construct tab may be used for graphical search arguments.
When searching any Greek or Hebrew text, the correct font (Helena or Yehudit) and direction are automatically used for all search criteria in the Search Entry box, except for the commands inside brackets. If the text uses an alternative display font such as Sylvanus Uncial, the search entry and parsing are still Helena.
Accents, breathing marks, vowel points, capital letters, and ending forms are ignored in an Accordance search, unless the exact search with the equal sign is used.
