Working with the Bible Text
In Accordance Bible Software, the term "text" generally refers to the Bible, but can also refer to non-Biblical source texts. Some texts are plain texts, that is, there is no additional background information stored with the text. However, others have Key numbers and/or grammatical tags stored with the text. These are termed Key number texts and Grammatically Tagged texts, respectively.
Each time a new Search tab The core tab used to search Bible texts, it consists of a search entry area and a search results area is opened, the default Bible text opens in an active The application, window, tab, or other screen element which is currently being used; sometimes called the "front" or "frontmost" screen element pane. You do not need to search for specific words or verses to begin working with the text. You can:
- read and scroll through the text.
- highlight a word in the text as you mouseover the word.
- select a verse to copy the text, temporarily bookmark verses, or add notes.
- temporarily mark a text selection for easy identification of, and navigation to, bookmarked text during your study session The arrangement of screen elements when working with Accordance
- compare different texts to each other.
- apply dynamic interlinear display of additional information about each word in the text.
- define the default text via the Search Tab area of the Preferences dialog box.
