Getting Started with Accordance

The key concept behind working with Accordance Bible Software is this: The Bible is Central.

When Accordance is launched, the first thing shown is a Search tab The core tab used to search Bible texts, it consists of a search entry area and a search results area displaying the entire default Bible. Thus, the Bible text, as displayed in the Search tab, is the central hub around which you will work. All additional workspaces, tabs, panes, popovers, and associated commands are designed to enhance your Bible study and research.

Some people work only with the Search tab, never taking full advantage of what Accordance has to offer. However, as you familiarize yourself with the other Accordance features, you will find yourself able to research different aspects of the Bible text. Studying and researching the Bible will be easier than you dreamed possible.

This section of the Help introduces the basics of searching for text in the Bible, extending your study to other texts and writings via amplification, and the most frequently used options and screen elements in Accordance.
