Picture Icons used in Accordance for iOS

The tables below show all the picture icons appearing on buttons in Accordance, along with a brief description of their uses.

 

Icon Button Name Used To...
Table of Contents (TOC) button used to navigate through content in a resource. TOC (Table of Contents)/Verse Chooser Called the "Verse Chooser" in a Text. Opens either a List or Grid for navigating to a specific book, chapter, and verse.
Called the TOC button in a Tool. Opens a specific title (heading).
Quick Settings Opens a pop-up window for quick access to controls for changing font size, setting other display items, setting the default module display settings, and turning Night View on or off
Search Opens search view for searching a Text or Tool
History Opens the search history; you can return to a previous search or start a new search with the default search settings
Read In Search View, used to view the entire text of the top verse in the display, but without the search results
Back After Searching, Amplifying or accessing the Show in Context item, the Return button appears; tap it to return to the previous view.
Picture button Picture Opens the Photos library to insert an image when editing a User Note
The Active Highlighting button is used to select and highlight text at the same time. Active Highlighting When turned on, Active Highlighting automatically applies a highlight as text is selected
Tap this button to open formatting options for the content of the User Note Format Opens the formatting options for User Notes
Previous/Next Verse When editing User Notes, tap the up arrow to navigate to the previous verse, and the down arrow to move to the next verse.

 

Icon Button Name Used To...
Library Opens Library View
History Functionality depends on whether or not a search has been performed:

No search performed (enabled only after tapping): Tap to navigate back and forth between different locations in the same module (that you went to using the TOC button); this history is cleared each time a new search is performed

After a Tool search or Text search with context set to All: Tap to navigate back and forth between visited bookmarks; This history is cleared each time a new search is performed
Navigate Bookmarks Functionality depends on whether or not a search has been performed:

No search performed (Text modules): Tap to go to the next or previous chapter

No search performed (Tool modules): Tap to go back and forth between headings in the module

After a Tool search or Text search with context set to All: Tap to jump to the next or previous bookmark
Edit User Notes Tap to edit a User Note

Close Additional Pane Tap to close an additional pane

 Open Additional Pane Tap to open an additional pane. Orientation of the pane depends on the orientation of your device
Rotate Horizontally Rotate Horizontal (iPad only) When an additional pane is displayed, rotates both panes horizontally
Rotate Vertically Rotate Vertical (iPad only) When an additional pane is displayed, rotates both panes vertically

 

Icon Button Name Used To...
Information Tap to display information about the selected module
Select Tap to select a module when editing the Library. Allows for move, delete, alphabetize, and add folders or dividers.
List Tap, drag-and-drop to move the selected module to another location in the list
Easy Install Opens the Easy Install/Updates display for downloading and updating content.
Updates Tap to display all content that has an update (detected when connected with your Accordance account)
Download Tap to download all selected modules in the Easy Install display
Select All Tap to select every module in the Easy Install display
Sync Links with Accordance Version 9 and higher on your Mac. You can transfer modules to Accordance for iOS and sync your User Notes, User Tools, and Highlight files.
Settings Opens Settings View for setting your preferences and account log on information
Store Tap to display the Accordance store. A red dot appears with the store icon when there are new updates to the store content.
