Sync with Desktop Version of Accordance

Refers to the desktop version of Accordance installed on your Macintosh computer of Accordance and mobile device
Android mobile devices.
Prerequisites: Desktop version of Accordance 9.3 or higher, installed on Mac OS 10.4.9 and above, and version 1.2 or higher of Accordance Mobile Accordance Mobile for Android.

Syncing is performed over a WiFi network, and is a procedure completely separate from syncing From the word synchronization; the process by which data is moved from a computer to a mobile device. to iTunes®.
Except for user content, syncing From the word synchronization; the process by which data is moved from a computer to a mobile device. is one way only: modules cannot be backed up or restored from your device to your Mac.
Warning: Accordance content is licensed for one user. It is illegal to allow other users to load your modules on their computers or mobile devices.

- In Library View (bottom center), tap the Sync button (
). The rest of this procedure is performed in your desktop version of Accordance.
- On the Accordance menu, choose Sync with Mobile Device. The Sync with Mobile Device dialog box opens.
- In the Sync with Mobile Device dialog box, select the device to which the Accordance modules should be synced and click Connect. The Sync with Mobile Device dialog box is updated and displays all modules on your computer that can be synced to the mobile device

- The first time you sync

Android mobile devices a message appears advising that the content is for your use only, and that making the content available to anyone else is a copyright infringement. You must read the message and select the correct option in order to continue.
- If your mobile device
Android mobile devices was synced with another computer a message appears offering three choices, as follows:

Erase and Sync: Erases the content of the Accordance Library on your mobile deviceAndroid mobile devices and replaces it with the content from your desktop version of Accordance.
Sync User Content: Preserves all content on your mobile deviceAndroid mobile devices and syncs only with User content (User Notes, User Tools, and Highlight files).
- A list appears with all the modules installed in Accordance, in their categories. Within each category those currently in Accordance Mobile
Accordance Mobile for Android are checked and appear at the top. The dialog box also shows how much free space is available on the mobile device

- In the list, select the modules to be synced to your mobile device

Check any modules you wish to add, and uncheck any you wish to remove from your device. Clicking the category will check or uncheck all modules in that category.
Warning
Unchecking the category and proceeding to sync

Click the Sync button and wait for syncing
From the word synchronization; the process by which data is moved from a computer to a mobile device. to complete.
The new modules are added to each category list, in the order they appear on the desktop version of Accordance. Any modules with newer versions on your desktop version are updated on your device.

Your User Notes can be synced in both directions. If they are checked in the list, Accordance automatically applies the changes made to each individual note, whether on the desktop version or the mobile device Android mobile devices, to the other set of notes. If the same note has been modified in both sets of notes, a dialog box displays both notes and allows you to select the one you want to keep.

User Tools and Highlights files can ONLY be synced between Accordance 9.4+ and version 1.3+ of Accordance Mobile Accordance Mobile for Android.
