Use Handoff Between Devices

Accordance can be used with Apple's Handoff feature, allowing your Mac and iOS devices to automatically pass what you are doing from one device to another.

Prerequisites for Use:

Each device must be on the same wireless network.
Each device must be logged into the same Apple ID (iCloud account).
Each iOS device must be equipped with Bluetooth LE (iPhone 5 or later, iPad 4 or later, any iPad mini, iPod touch 5).
Each Mac must be running OS Operating System X Yosemite 10.10 or later, and Accordance 12.2 or higher.
Each iOS device must be running Accordance Mobile 2.6 or higher.
The modules Any Bible text, or other single tool that can be read in Accordance, including reference texts and articles; may also be referred to as content or resource being used for Handoff must be installed on both devices.

The procedures for using Handoff with different device combinations are detailed below.

To use Handoff from iOS to iOS:To use Handoff from iOS to iOS:

On both devices (iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch), go to Settings > General > Handoff, and turn on Handoff. Handoff is activated on both devices.
On the first device, open the Accordance Mobile app. Accordance Mobile opens to display a Text or Tool module Any Bible text, or other single tool that can be read in Accordance, including reference texts and articles; may also be referred to as content or resource, or both.
On the second device, open the multitasking screen by double-tapping the Home button. The multitasking screen displays all running applications.
On the second device, tap the Accordance app banner at the bottom of the screen. Accordance Mobile opens, displaying the same search results and content as the first device.

To use Handoff from iOS to Mac:To use Handoff from iOS to Mac:

On the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, go to Settings > General > Handoff, then turn on Handoff.
On the Mac, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click General and select Allow Handoff between this Mac and your iCloud devices.
On the iOS device, open the Accordance Mobile app. Accordance Mobile opens to display a Text or Tool module, or both.
On the Mac, click the Accordance Handoff icon. The icon is located either on the left of the dock when placed at the bottom of the screen, or at the top of the dock when located on the left or right. Accordance opens, displaying the same search results and content as Accordance Mobile on the iOS device.

On the Mac, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click General and select Allow Handoff between this Mac and your iCloud devices.
On the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, go to Settings > General > Handoff, then turn on Handoff.
On the Mac, open Accordance. Accordance opens to display the contents of a workspace.
Perform a search in a Text or a Tool, or navigate to a location. Accordance displays your search or navigation results.
On the iOS device, open the multitasking screen by double-tapping the Home button. The multitasking screen displays all running applications.
On the iOS device, tap the Accordance app banner at the bottom of the screen. Accordance Mobile opens, displaying the same search results or location as Accordance on the Mac.
